3D product visualisaties spelen een steeds belangrijkere rol in de presentatie van producten. Bedrijven als Apple en Ikea maken vooral gebruik van 3D productvisualisaties omdat het product, als het eenmaal in 3D is gemaakt, met een paar muisklikken op verschillende manieren en in verschillende situaties kan worden bekeken. De 3D-objecten worden allemaal opgeslagen voor later gebruik en aanpassing indien nodig, en voor gebruik in beelden die nieuwe productreeksen in de toekomst aanvullen en promoten.
